Expected Outcomes

  • Graduates will understand the role of the health professional in the provision of services to clients/patients.

  • Graduates will compile, calculate and use health-related data to identify and evaluate health needs, interests and concerns of individuals and/or groups.

  • Graduates will be able to function as public health professionals for the health-related problems of individuals in the school, workplace or community environment.

  • Graduates will be able to identify and describe components of good mental and physical health.

  • Graduates will possess the skills and knowledge needed in order to develop a comprehensive health education program.

  • Graduates will possess the skills needed in order to become proficient in the areas of research methodology and data analysis.

  • The program will provide career-related opportunities that enable students to prepare for an allied health profession of their choice.

  • Graduates will understand the need to pursue certain certifications and other designated criteria before being fully qualified for certain allied professions.
