Brief Bio: Dr. Alicia Tatum-is a native of Americus, GA, but spent the majority of her youth in Tuskegee, AL where she graduated Booker T. Washington High School (1993). She is a three-time graduate of The University of Alabama where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1993) with a minor in English and Pre-Occupational Therapy; her Masters of Arts (2002) in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Adult Fitness; and her Doctorate (2006) in Kinesiology with a minor in Biochemistry and Educational Research Statistics.
Dr. Tatum serves as an Assistant Professor and Wellness Coordinator for CSU's College of Education. She is actively involved in various department and professional organizations as well as numerous community events. She possesses current national certification as a personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise and is the owner of Evolutions, a fitness consulting business. In addition to her roles as Assistant Professor and Wellness Coordinator, Dr. Tatum also serves Dance Team Coordinator within the CSU athletics program.
